Description

Play with fire and you will get burned

Malachy Salem is a fighter. He lets his brothers handle the spells and the sorcery—he just wants to rumble. He’s trained in mixed marital arts. He kills vampires, demons, and other nasties. Then he picks up a blonde for a one night stand, and gets gone before morning. Mal’s life is great…until the new, curvy, redheaded neighbor Cara shows up.
Cara Michaels is not looking for romance. She just wants to finish the job—restoring a historic Victorian home to its former glory. She knows how to handle a hammer, a wrench, or a chainsaw, but handling an evil spirit is something else.
When the house Cara is working on erupts with paranormal activity, she finds out that Mal is not just a random, hot-as-hell neighbor. He and his brothers have been staking out the place, but the evil spirit is much more interested in Cara. Mal’s finally got someone to fight for…if he can take the heat.
The second novel in The Brothers Salem, a contemporary paranormal romance series where a trio of demon hunters—armed with spells and snark—are on a mission to slay some demons, break some curses, and get their girls. Unless the girls get them first.

Reach for Me by Elizabeth Cole is the second book in her Brothers Salem series. Note: this review contains spoilers! There’s a house on a hill. Cara, a master wood worker and restoration expert, is there to restore it to its former glory. The Salem brothers living across the road are there to make sure she doesn’t. Because they know something she doesn’t: there is a hell hole, a gateway to other worlds and dimensions, under that house and it can not be opened! Mal, the Salem brother who is the fighter, the runner, the one with muscles most of us don’t even know exist, is chosen to work on the house and keep an eye on things at the house and Cara. And as much as Cara is lost in her wood work, she does notice all those muscles, er Mal. But there are three things Mal and Cara didn’t plan on: the floor that Cara is working so hard to restore is the gateway to the hell hole, there is a ghost haunting the house, and the money to restore the house but primarily that one floor is coming from a demon! Oh, boy! Will the floor get finished? Will Mal accept his feelings for Cara? Will the ghost be set free? Will the flames come again? You’re going to have to read it to find out! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
