As a musician, there is one line from Pressfield’s book that I will take with me for the rest of my life: “there is always something in the box.”

This book was a great follow up to Steven's book "The War of Art". He gives a more in depth description of what he means by "turning pro" which he brought up in War of Art.

I bought this book right after I finished "Do The Work". These two books should be mandatory reading for everyone that want to better their life. Both of these books should be reading for all high school freshman students as part of a business class. They are easy to read and provides insights as to what it means to "Do The Work", the effort it take in "Turning Pro" and the rewards that come when you decide to do both.

How glorious, I set as a goal to read Turning Pro and the War of Art before I started my screenwriting career. At first it was very slow and go. I’m weaning myself from paper books and have just recently started reading online books from iBooks so at first I was overcoming that transaction too. Slowly the two books started to make since to me, slowly the online reading came into focus for me as well. So now I am in trouble again, a spot I know will create change and a dynamic I know I can trust. An uncomfortable spot that will propel me toward the goal I seek. I have turned pro. I know what it is to not be an amateur any more. I have found my feet. Thank you.

I absolutely enjoyed reading this book; both for the lessons it guided me through as well as its entertaining value. "Life changing" is a bold, yet well-deserved comment for this book.

Life changing if you are victim to procrastination when trying to pursue your life goals
