Description

He’s convinced his love can save her.

Jay Wentworth’s world is utterly shattered by a short and succinct Dear John letter. Ellie is his everything—lover, soul mate, best friend. The woman who’s seen him at his worst, and the one he plans to marry. He’ll do anything to make her happy…except let her go. With determination on his side, and a little help from Ellie’s billionaire boss, he’ll protect the woman meant to be his. Despite having no clue what he’s up against.

She knows her love might kill him.

Ellie was foolish to ever believe she could outrun her past and live happily ever after with Jay. Leaving will ravage her heart, but she’ll endure the pain if it means protecting him from a threat that’s finally found her. However, Jay refuses to give up on them, and the closer he gets to discovering the truth about her previous life, the deeper the danger becomes.

Jay will move heaven and earth to save his woman, but if she can’t trust him…can’t trust what they have together…their future is over before it can even begin.

Author note: each book in this series may be read as a stand-alone, complete with HEA and no cliffhangers.

Sensual Surrender is the second book in the Serafina Sin City Series. This series began as a spin off from Red Stone Security’s Breaking Her Rules (Iris and Wyatt’s story) Sensual Surrender can be read as a stand-alone book. This book features Ellie and Jay. Ellie has created a new life for herself . But, mistakes she made in the past come back to haunt her. When Ellie’s past catches up with her rather than involve Jay (her longtime live-in lover) she decides to try and handle it on her own, basically leaving Jay a “Dear John” note. Jay will do anything to find her, help her and protect her. It was very easy to relate to Ellie and the stupid choices that she made as a teenager and when she did to overcome her past and build a new life for herself. She was a little frustrating in that she did not have more faith in Jay and had not shared her past with him – however it was kind of understandable why she did this when everything came to light. Jay is the ultimate alpha hero and someone you would want to have in your corner day or night. This is a well written romantic suspense book that will keep you turning pages until you are finished. Although I was provided an ARC of this book for an honest review, I also purchased the book.
