Description

Finding white-hot love in a white-out...

Eight months ago, Lee Coleman met the woman of his dreams…then lost her to another man. He buried his disappointment by throwing himself into work on the family ranch, but when a winter storm leaves him stranded, Lee finds more than shelter in the rustic safety of a hunter’s cabin—he finds a second shot at love.

Rachel Malone's heart has been broken and stomped on by her cheating ex, and she’s determined to never fall in love again. But a rebound fling? Doesn’t sound like such a bad idea, especially when she’s snowed-in with a gorgeous, sweet-talking Coleman.

Despite their off-the-charts chemistry, Lee makes it clear he wants more than a temporary romp. In fact, he’s made it his mission to put a smile back on her face, even if it means taking it slow and resisting the scorching heat between them. This time around, he wants forever, while Rachel is positive that forever is a fool's dream.

Lee can’t wait to prove her wrong…

Very sweet love story! Rachel and Lee take a very roundabout way to their happy ever after. Bottom line is they get there with heartbreak for both but a very happy ending.

Sweet story of Lee and Rachel. Interesting dynamics.
  • Is age really a big thing?

The female in the story is older than the guy. That’s the big conflict. Seriously? If it were an older guy, younger woman it wouldn’t be a thing. As a woman who is older than my husband I found the melodrama about age a bit annoying.

Lee and Rachel's story was sweet. He finally gets his dream woman...even if he had to wait until after she got her heart broken. We see that if it's meant to be, it will be. No matter how long you wait. I loved their story.

This is another great story in the Six Pack Ranch series that I have read and enjoyed. Lee Coleman threw himself into his work after Rachel Malone's sudden wedding, but months later he can't stand by and watch Gary humiliate Rachel without using his fists to defend her. Several months later when he stumbles upon a cabin needing shelter during a fierce blizzard he's surprised to find Rachel there mourning her marriage and her stupidity. I really enjoyed the emotional connection between these two characters as well as their smouldering sexual attraction that simmerrs throughout the entire novella. I have been a fan of this author's writing for many years and she always leaves me satisfied and wanting more. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I am a big fan of 6 pack series. Rocky Retreat is a short story but still contains the hot cowboy that has fallen hard. A great series.

Rachel and Lees story is terrific-so enjoyed it. I didn't want to put it down at all. It was so great to catch up with the Coleman family again. Rachel finally realizes what a jerk her husband of four months is-hes been cheating on her for the last time. She decides to take a mini vacation to get her head together and borrows a friends cabin. A terrible snowstorm comes up, and who should walk up to the cabin? None other than Lee Coleman. Their story is so sweet with some hotness thrown in. I believe this story might b my favorite Coleman story yet. Definitely 5-7 stars! Highly recommend.
