“Hilarious, irreverent...Reading Waiting to Exhale is like being in the company of a great friend...thought-provoking, thoroughly entertaining, and very, very comforting.”—The New York Times Book Review

It's amazing how the message, struggles, and voice of this novel is still relevant to the plight of African American women today. As a single black female, I could see myself, my sister, or one of my friends in every character. Terry McMillan leaves you with hope that at the end of the day you to will EXHALE.
