Description

First Days is the second book in The Academy Ghost Bird Series.

Sang Sorenson used to be the invisible girl in class. As a new student to Ashley Waters High School, Sang hopes that her new friends will be the change she's been craving and will make fitting in a breeze.

But Academy students aren't there to take it easy. The high school is overcrowded and rife with violence. When fights begin, Sang will uncover the true reason the boys traded in their private school life for a public one.

This year, Sang will no longer be invisible. This year, Sang is a target.

The principal and vice principal are hot to take Sang down, and her own mother is determined to entrap Sang forever in her belief that the safest place to be is in the shadows. Despite this, Nathan, Luke, Kota, North, Silas, Victor, and Gabriel will discover Sang's unyielding loyalty.

And they will sorely need it.

The Academy, supremely influential.

If you enjoyed Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard or the Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter, you may enjoy this series.

I absolutely loved this book. I think the story is unique, and addresses important, modern issues. However, I do feel there is excessive swearing, where it's not needed. There are some instances where they say every swear in one sentence. As well there are phases where someone swears every page. As much as I love the book, I am seriously considering not moving on, because of the swearing.

I try to hide/ignore the newest book for as long as I can. I know I will read it in a day or two and then I go a little crazy without it right after. Because I know that I won't have another dose for a while. Ahhh, the suspense! I'm still waiting for the next audio book. The first one was great. She really found the greatest voices. Okay, now back to waiting...

I was captivated by this story again, there's something so interesting and mysterious about the whole ordeal and the characters that keeps the reader intrigued. I found myself trying to find the abstruseness out surrounding the school, students and questionable authorities figures that's just criminal. The main leads are ambrosial the way the take care of one another, be it moral support physical or emotion is awe-inspiring.
