Well written and gripping. Very hard to read as this tortuous romance went on and on. My heart cried and screamed for Kai as she suffered at Milo’s hand again and again. As though her physical abuse were not enough, Milo’s psychological torture while he brutally hurts her was horrible. I was upset with Enzo and the part he played in having Kai in the grips of Milo. I also hated his relationship and history with Liesel. Another cliffy. Not sure my heart can take any more of this story no matter how well written. This is an extremely good read although it is dark and has many triggers. The other books in this series must be read in order to understand this one. Kai and Enzo are two broken and fragile people making poor decisions and judgements. They have both been emotionally, mentally, and physically abused since childhood. The various emotions, feelings, compassions, empathies, and reactions vary from each character by their action, thought, and dialogue. Several surprises at the end resulting in a cliffhanger. This particular author astounds me with her talent! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Oh Lawd! Two books left in this series and I can’t wait! Enzo and Kai both want to protect each other from the cruel and violent Milo. A truth about Milo will soon be revealed, but it isn’t what Enzo has believed. Enzo and Kai have their next challenge and it is one that could easily kill them both. Kai has fallen in love with Enzo, and he has come to the realization that he loves her too, but there hasn’t been a good time to tell her.

This series is amazing with its well developed and engaging characters that take you on a roller coaster ride. I have been reading from the beginning and can honestly say Ella Miles knows how to write interesting storylines with plenty of chemistry and drama. Oh my gosh. I thought this was going to be the final book. I don’t know how much more of this I can take. These books are so intense, diabolically twisted with drama that will literally break your heart, and love that will make you think you can survive anything. Enzo and Kai have been through the ringer and back again so many times, you wonder if they are ever going to come out on the other side whole or just as shells of each other. This book will have your heart pumping so quickly, it will be hard to calm down. You will not be able to put it down once you start reading it. An intense series.

Ella continues to blow my mind. The horrific events left me speechless and my heart broken! My heart hurts for Kai and for Enzo! I can’t wait for more.... ARC review!

The story of Kai and Enzo continues. This installment started off a little slow for me but definitely didn’t stay that way. SO much happened in this book. Kai and Enzo fighting for each other to save the other and the Black Empire from Milo. And so much was revealed in this one. The end was heart wrenching. Next one can’t come soon enough!
